                        ABROGATE (Verb)



Meaning- 1) to end or cancel (something) in a formal and official way.
                       2) to fail to do what is required by (something such as responsibility).
Mnemonic trick- The word abrogate contains word gate. Gate sounds similar to hate. If we hate something we abrogate or cancel it.  Bad should be given up. Therefore, abrogate means to end or cancel (something) in a formal and official way.
