PROTOCOL (Noun)

Meaning- 1) A set of rules and guidelines that are needed to be followed by people

                       2) A document that describes the details of a treaty or formal agreement between two countries. For example- Nagoya protocol, Montreal protocol, Kyoto protocol

Mnemonic trick- famous Nagoya protocol, Montreal protocol are formal agreements signed by all UN member states. Therefore, protocol means formal agreement.
