                                              RATIONALIZE (Verb)


Meaning- to attempt to justify something or to make excuses for bad behavior.

Uses-
  •          We usually try to rationalize our mistake by blaming it on someone else.
  •          He could not rationalize buying an expensive car.
  •         After the Renaissance, or revival or rebirth of old learning into new development and culture, numerous attempts were made to rationalize the old myths.
