                           PREVARICATE (Verb)


Mnemonic trick- The word prevaricate contains word ‘varicate’. ’varicate’ sounds similar to barricade. The police used barricade to prevaricate what’s happening there. Therefore, prevaricate means to be unclear in order to mislead or to hide information.

Synonym- EQUIVOCATE, LIE, FABRICATE
