                                     FOMENT (Verb)

Mnemonic trick- The word foment sounds similar to foreman. Because of their assiduous work and low salary, a group of foremen protested against the government and fomented violence. Therefore, foment means to cause or try to cause the growth or development of (something bad or harmful).

Synonym- INCITE, INSTIGATE, PROVOKE
