                           EXACERBATE (Adj.)

Mnemonic trick- The word exacerbate comes from word acerbic. root word ‘ac’ means bitter or sharp. Word ‘acrid’ also comes from root word ‘ac’, which means unpleasantly sharp or bitter. Therefore, exacerbate means to make more violent, bitter, or severe.
